About this role

General Definition of Work Performs responsible skilled work in the maintenance, repair, modification, and installation of electrical systems in City buildings; performs related work as required. Work is performed under general supervision of the Building Maintenance Supervisor. Work directives are issued to building maintenance technicians and other city staff when performing work on electrical lines and appurtenances. Essential Functions/Duties Manages all activities of electrical maintenance. This is a electrical opportunity with City of Gastonia in Victory, Gaston County. Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Work ranges from running conduit and pulling wire to troubleshooting circuits and reading electrical plans.

  • Test circuits and ensure NEC compliance
  • Assist licensed electricians as needed
