2nd shift General Laborer
About this role
We are currently looking for General Laborers for the 2nd shift 5:00PM to 5:30AM at our Fremont, CA manufacturing facility. You will have the opportunity to work in cutting, fabricating, insulating, metal fabrication, warehouse, or shipping departments. These positions may have daily or weekend overtime as dictated by the production schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Move glass and metal product from, tables, rolling racks, delivery truck. This is a welding and fabrication opportunity with Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Fremont, Alameda County. Welding and metal fabrication — joining, cutting, and shaping steel and other metals. Welders read fabrication drawings and produce strong, precise joints in shop or field settings.
What you'll do
- Weld using MIG, TIG, or stick as required
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Cut and grind metal to spec
- Inspect welds for strength and quality
- Follow shop safety and PPE requirements
